This really isn’t where you want to be and it means that you are more than likely eating too many carbs and possibly protein. Ketones are an alternate fuel that are produced by the liver in response to a drop in glycogen stores. Consuming too many carbs will keep the glycogen levels elevated beyond what is required for ketone production. Protein can also be converted to glycogen through Gluconeogenesis ┬áso you will also need to ensure you are not consuming too much protein.
